When you receive your Debit or Credit Card, please sign on the signature panel on the reverse of your card by using a ballpoint pen. You will need to generate a card PIN to activate your card before you use it.

Simple steps to generate a Card PIN and activate your Debit and Credit Card
To generate your card PIN and activate your Debit and Credit Card, please use any of the following channels and follow the steps:

Branches
  • Visit your Ahlibank branch
  • Speak to our staff for more information and follow their instructions
  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent as an SMS to your mobile number registered with us
  • You will be prompted to set a 4 digit PIN of your choice and confirm the same
  • Your card will be ready for use once you have set your PIN

Phone/IVR
  • Call +974 4420 5222
  • Select the language of your choice
  • Choose option 3 for registered customers in IVR service*
  • Enter your 16 digit Debit Card number or your 13 digit account number
  • Enter your 4 digit Telephone PIN (TPIN)
  • Choose option 5 to generate your card PIN
  • Enter your 16 digit Debit or Credit Card number you want to generate a PIN
  • You will be prompted to set a 4 digit PIN of your choice and confirm the same
  • Your card will be ready for use once you have set your PIN

*If you are not registered for the IVR service, choose option 0 on the IVR. You will speak to a Contact Centre agent to register on the IVR service and create your Telephone PIN (TPIN)

ATM
  • Insert your Debit or Credit Card in the ATM
  • Select the language of your choice
  • Click confirm to receive the One Time Password (OTP)
  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent as an SMS to your mobile number registered with us
  • You will be prompted to set a 4 digit PIN of your choice and confirm the same
  • Your card will be ready for use once you have set your PIN

Online and Mobile Banking
  • Login to your Ahlibank Online Banking via your desktop/laptop or mobile device
  • Enter your User Name and Password*
  • Select Debit or Credit Card request service
  • Choose Create/Change PIN option from the drop down menu
  • Enter the 16-digit card number of the card you want to Set/Change PIN
  • Set a 4 digit PIN of your choice and confirm the same and click next
  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent as an SMS to your mobile number registered with us
  • Your card will be ready for use once you have set your PIN

*If you are not registered for Online and Mobile Banking, choose option Not Registered on the Online Banking login page. You have to hold at least one active Debit or Credit Card when you register for Online and Mobile Banking.

If you forget your Debit or Credit Card PIN. You can reset through:
  • Branch: Please speak to our staff for more information
  • IVR: Call +974 4420 5222. Follow the same steps
  • Online and Mobile Banking: Login to your account. Follow the same steps

If you want to change your Debit or Credit Card PIN. You can change through:
  • Branch: Please speak to our staff for more information
  • IVR: Call +974 4420 5222. Follow the same steps
  • ATM: Visit any Ahlibank ATM. Choose PIN Change option from Other Services menu and follow the instructions on the screen
  • Online and Mobile Banking: Login to your account. Follow the same steps

Useful information

Qataris:
  • Above 18 and not older than 60 years of age at the time of application
  • Be employed for at least 3 months for salary assigned customers
  • Earn a minimum monthly salary of QAR 35,000 assigned to your Ahlibank account or against a pledged deposit of 120% of the Credit Card limit requested (minimum credit limit QAR 35,000)

Expatriates:
  • Above 21 and not older than 60 years of age at the time of application
  • Be employed for at least 3 months for salary assigned customers
  • Earn a minimum monthly salary of QAR 35,000 assigned to your Ahlibank account or against a pledged deposit of 120% of the Credit Card limit requested (minimum credit limit QAR)
  • Complete an application form at any of our branches
  • Provide the documents listed below
  • If your application is approved, you will be contacted when your new Credit Card and PIN number are ready to be collected at your account holding branch
Qataris
  • Valid Qatar ID Card
  • Salary certificate/salary assignment letter from your employer

Expatriates
  • Valid Qatar ID Card
  • Passport with valid resident permit
  • Salary certificate/salary assignment letter from your employer (for against salary)
  • A post dated security cheque to the value of the approved Credit Card limit
