Ahlibank opens renovated Old Airport branch

Ahlibank executives led by Ahmed Fakhro, Board Member and Salah Murad, CEO in the presence of valued customers open Old Airport branch.
Following on from the recent Al Markhiya branch opening, Ahlibank is now welcoming customers to its ‘new look’ location in Old Airport. Ahlibank has had a branch in this busy area since 1991 and the re-designed branch reflects the needs of local customers. Changes include the introduction of a Premium Banking area with a dedicated Relationship Manager and a doubling of the number of ATM’s, which are accessible 24 hours a day.
The branch also features the bank’s new brand identity with modern technology including; interactive touch screens and tablets, designed to enhance the customer experience.
This is the fourth branch opening in Ahlibank’s redesign programme which is aimed at providing the most personal banking experience at the heart of the Qatar community.
Andrew McKechnie, Deputy CEO, Retail said, “Ahlibank is dedicated to providing the best level of service at convenient locations around Qatar. When we designed Old Airport branch, we looked carefully at the needs of the local community and increased the number of both counters and Customer Service Representatives. We doubled the number of ATM’s, which are accessible 24/7. In addition, to cater to our Premium customers in the area we have introduced an exclusive Banking Lounge, with a dedicated Relationship Manager.”
McKechnie continues “Old Airport Branch is the 4th new look branch we have launched this year and I am delighted to confirm that we are on track to upgrade over 50% of our branch network by the year end. We also have exciting plans to launch new products and services and new branch locations in the coming months.”

Recent and further branch openings and the new brand identity mark a series of planned developments for Ahlibank with continuing investment in branch modernisation and technology.
Ahlibank’s refreshed brand identity is inspired by Qatar’s past icon of the oyster shell. Just as the oyster shell protects and nurtures its treasure over time, Ahlibank seeks to adapt the same culture to its customers’ assets and likewise make them grow. This new look will be rolled-out across the entire branch network and is also reflected in digital advancements such as the Ahlibank website and Mobile Banking App.
