Nomination is now open for membership of the Board of Directors of Ahli Bank PQSC

Doha 2 January 2020 - The Board of Directors of Ahlibank has the pleasure to announce that nomination for election of the Board of Directors is now open for six board seats for 3 years (2020-2022), starting from Sunday 05/01/2020 till 1:00 pm of Thursday 09/01/2020.
Nomination Conditions:
- Candidate should not be less than 21 years old and having full capacity

- Candidate should not have been convicted of a criminal offence or a crime related to honour or honesty or any of the crimes referred to in Articles (334) and (335) of the Commercial Companies Law No. (11) of 2015 or Article (40) of Law No. (8) of 2012 regarding the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, or be prohibited from practicing any work in the entities subject to the supervision of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority under Article 35 clause 12 of the same law or has been declared bankrupt unless he has been rehabilitated.

- Be a holder of a number of shares not less than (1%) of the share capital of Ahli Bank, which shall be allocated as security for guaranteeing the rights of the Bank, shareholders, creditors and other parties, against the responsibility of the Board members, and accepting to have them reserved until the end of the term of his membership

- Is not in breach of Article (98) of the Commercial Companies Law No. (11) of 2015 and Article (7) of the Corporate Governance Code for Companies and Legal Entities Listed on the Main Market.

- Nominations are subject to the approval of Qatar Central Bank.

Required Documents:
- Copy of National ID and Passport.
- Copy of the Commercial Registration (CR) for Companies.
- New certificate of shares ownership.
- Copy of the candidate’s personal resume.
Applications will be received during the official working hours (9:00 AM till 1:00 PM) starting from Sunday 05/01/2020 till Thursday 09/01/2020.
Shareholders who are willing to be nominated are requested to visit the Bank’s Board Secretariat at the Head Office Building in Al Sadd Area, Suheim Bin Hamad Street, 3rd floor, to fill and submit the form and application and present the required documents, before the end of the nomination period.
Original copies of any application, document or undertaking, that needs to be signed by the candidate and/or the nominating entity, together with all supporting documents, shall be submitted by hand to the Board Secretary office.
Nomination applications, which do not meet all the above requirements, or which are submitted without the required supporting documentation, will not be considered.
Election will take place during the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting which will be held on 26/02/2020 as primary date, and 04/03/2020 as replacement date, and such dates will be announced later in two daily local newspapers, on the website of Qatar Stock Exchange and the website of the Bank, 15 days prior to the meeting.
